I have an older Sony Projectiction widescreen from 2002, and when I'm watching a DVD through the HDMI/DVI converter I see picture grain, what is the best way to adjust my picture settings?

I try to put the sharpness down as said in one internet site, it did infact remove the grain but a new problem occuried the picture was fuzzy.

this TV is only able to display 720p and the picture needs work.

any ideas?

Also, heres the TV's model number it's the Sony KP-65WS500.

Hello,

Our TV starts giving an irritating beep if we keep it on for more than an hour continously. This beep is not from the audio system or speakers becuase, we get this beep even if we mute the TV. It keeps getting more frequent and louder the longer th TV is one. Has anyone faced this before and could you please help me resolve this?

I bought the Q321 this summer (love it, awesome TV) and have found that DirectTV does not have any codes available to allow the DVR remote to control the TV power/volume functions. Really frustrated having two remotes, anyone know a code that works? The DVR is the r20 I think.
Thanks!

My 3 year old daughter was helping me "clean" tonight- she was in the living room with the can of febreeze air freshener while I was cleaning another room. She sprayed the can at the television from a distance of about 3 inches I'm assuming- all of the liquid leaked down into the control panel at the bottom and it shorted out. Everything else that is plugged in is still working so it did not short out everything in the room- the tv just won't turn on now. Do you think it will dry out by itself or are we looking at buying a new one?

When a magnetic field (like lightning) gets too close to your monitor, it draws the colors to one side. I learned how to fix this with the deguas (sp?) button. It happened to my TV. Does anyone know if there is a similar fix, or is it a cheap repair, or is it now trash?

I'm normally pretty good at this! It has 2 scart sockets at the back, one says TV, and the other DVD. On my old TV, it picked up as soon as I plug the scart cable in, but its different on this one, plus there's two sockets instead of one, compared to my old TV. But anyway, I've tried connecting the cable to both TV and DVD and tuning it in - even though I don't have to..nothing, zilch! By the way, SKY works fine because I have a TV Link and the other room's TV works fine, so there's a connection problem here.

Please help!! I want to watch SKY!!!

All you hear is static. We have cable on both tv's, but the big screen is giving off the signal. It has the guide plus. We can watch movies thru the DVD with no problem. The cable line is directly in the back, it was doing fine til now. I still get cable but the sound is terrible and the pictures are a little staticky. What can do? Please help.

ps- we also try to reset the tv to for audio.

I thought it may have been caused from my DSL but still have a problem even when it is disconnected. There are very tiny lines about an inch down at top of the screen. Wondering if it's possible my neighbors dish or pc could be the cause. Only happens on one tv.
