Hello,

Our TV starts giving an irritating beep if we keep it on for more than an hour continously. This beep is not from the audio system or speakers becuase, we get this beep even if we mute the TV. It keeps getting more frequent and louder the longer th TV is one. Has anyone faced this before and could you please help me resolve this?

I have seen this before, try taking all the extra things off the top of your TV (pictures, papers, toys) and let it breath! Electronics need to have cool air to work correctly. Another thing if you don't have anything on top of your set try dusting out the vents on the top or back. Use a vacuum or something and try to suck out all the dust.

you didn't specify brand and model so this is a guess. Some tv brand like samsung have a setting that will warn you with a beep. I can't pinpoint what it is exactly. You can try to reset all the settings to factory setting or try unplugging it for 5 hours or so. Good luck. This beeping can be a number of things from a setting on a menu to a circuit board going out.
