Pros:
Picture quality.
Cost to value ratio.
Sound quality.

Cons:
Separate receiver required for each TV.
You might lose the signal in Very heavy rain or snow. (Cable has the same problems, as they often receive signals via satellite, and rebroadcast them.)
No "on demand".
You need a phone line.

Direct TV is good.. I had it for several years, even installed it myself. I now have Dish Network.. very similar, but better deals for new subscribers than Direct TV.

directv is reliable and has the best pic quality, people assume that bad weather will affect your signal but thats not necesarily true, and the cable comp tries to say that the small dishes on top of peoples houses looks ugly, well they dont. i rather have a dish on my roof and money in my pocket as opposed to cables bad reception and service and they overcharge.
