I have friend overseas and they have sky TV with lot of channel more than Singapore cable I wonder if it works in Singapore it uses satellite dish too.

Even if it does work, it'd be illegal to access Sky from within Singapore. The Media Development Authority is very strict with regards to such issues, so if you're going to do it, make sure you don't get caught!

It does...because Sky TV utilizes a satellite and the satellite can be "beamed" to other parts o the globe, unless the program is not installed.
