I have an LG 42" plasma tv with the screen smashed ( tv still works fine ) if i get another set the same model number with a good screen can i transfer it to mine ?

I have a hd ready tv, I also have sky satellite my question seem to me to be quite simple, the answers may not be.
I only want to know :- do we have any hd tv in use in the uk now?
what is hdmi all about? can I tap into my sky which is obviousy a digital signal ?? to get hd on my tv?
I have read previous answers on yahoo and still cant understand , please dont bring computors into it, I've got enough problems on that score as it is! Yes I do understand about the 'high definition

I bought a 50" Plasma TV in the US (Panasonic). I would like to bring it back home. Before I ship it, I would like to know whether it would work in India? I know about the voltage difference. I would like to know the decoder that would (or may) be required to have a NTSC TV work in India (which has PAL).

Or am i better off just paying for it through comcast. On the back of the tv it has 2 coaxles one says ant.1air & the other says
ant.2cable.Does the antena HD work just as good as comcast.

My new High Def cable box is only sending out Warm colors (the red cable). "Cool" colors, or the blue cable, are not being sent. When I unplug the blue color, nothing on the TV changes. It's fully plugged in, and nothing is wrong with my TV because I've used my Xbox 360 with the component cables and it worked fine. I can't change any settings on the cable box or the TV to fix it.

IM NOT SURE BUT I THINK IT WAS A KDFE50A12U.ALSO HAD FREEVIEW. ARE THE REAR PROJECTION TVS AS GOOD AS LCD OR PLASMAS -THERE ARE SO MANY ON THE MARKET , ITS JUST CONFUSING!

I have a Mitsubishi sdtv from about 10 years old. The picture is good except for that the darkness level is very high, it's very difficult to see dark movies. I lost the original Mitsubishi remote and now I use a universal remote with which I can't access the tv menu to change the darkness. Any ideas of how to lighten up the picture?

Its not windy now so i can't understand why. All we get is "no sattelite signal is being received".
Impossible to get through to anyone at Sky and no one replies to my emails.
Anyone having similar problems?

It needs to be freeview or similar, preferably attach under a top cupboard & pull down, be able to run off 12v and 240volt and be able to play DVDs. Can anyone help?

There are no obvious holes or slots that I can detect that this spider made it's way into but somehow it got between the 2 compressed pieces of glass. This spider has been there for several months so it is dead for sure and is not going to move on it's own. Here are link to two pictures I took to try to help you visualize this problem.

I am living in Mallorca and have a pile of 2nd-hand equipment for getting satellite TV. I have an Amstrad DRX400 Sky digi-box with viewing card, a Pace MSS100 box and 2 dishes with LNBs.

I have spent hrs on the roof (fortunately flat) with compass etc, trying to get a signal but the signal meter on the Anstrad shows 0 for strength and quality no matter what. Have no remote for the Pace but using it with the dish it originally belong to (and worked with 3 weeks ago) I still cant find anything. The dish is still on its vertical mount and came from 3km down the road so I know the elevation is corrct but i cannot get a picture of any description.

2nd dish is an oval (off-set?) Via-Digital with its original LNB. With this and the Amstrad I found Hotbird satellite for 5 mins. I know I need the Astra 2 group but cant find it and have no guide.

I have searched the island for a satfinder but no luck. Would have to spend a pile ordering overseas and trying to save cash hence 2ndhand kit
