There's a lot of misinformation, so I'll make this pretty simple.

On the "Air" coax, you can hook up any antenna - rabbit ears if you want - and get whatever HDTV is available in your area. Metropolitan areas and large markets will offer more channels. You should expect to get at least 1 or 2 stations in HD. After that, whatever you get is gravy. Chances are, you'll get PBS, and a network or two - but if you live in a major city, you can get several networks.

That said, if you live in the middle of nowhere, don't expect much.

The HD antenna will work based on location in proximity to the towers. The nice thing about HD is that there's no "fuzzy screen" or, what we in the industry call, "Cliff effect". Simply put, this means that you'll either have picture (By a strong or moderate picture) or you will have no picture at all.

You can get Comcast HD, but you will pay extra for the service (rates vary, and so do channels and availability) - however, instead of just a few channels to choose from, you could get up to 16 channels that are available as of today.

You'll be best asking yourself if you want to wait for the inevitable "everything will be HD", and if it's worth it to pay an additional 25 bucks to watch 16 channels in HD right now.

Use the Ant 1 "Air". You will receive all the channels in your area that broadcast in HD. Once you have attached the antenna , go into the "search for channels" mode. Works great!!

Yes...over the air works just as well...use an outdoor antenna if possible...the indoor ones are not that great unless you have a really strong signal. You will only get local HD broadcasts and cable will offer other channels possibly.

Q-ington above is wrong!!!

You will only catch the local HD broadcasts in your area. Like ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX etc. You will not get ESPN, CNN or any of the cable channels. So if you want ESPN HD you will have to subscribe.
