Telewest have just fitted a digital tv receiver box in my house, I've asked for a silver one (matching with my TV), they told me they only come in black. Is it true?

Well I would describe mine as dark grey! I have the light grey remote control too!

You've answered your own question. The answer is no. Your cable company has migrated their signals to frequencies your TV cannot receive without the digital receiver box.Comcast did the same thing in my town.

If you get the tv drive box it comes in silver, u can pause tv, rewind and record up to 80 hrs, plus its HDTV. costs 10 quid extra a month but well worth it.
