Will I need to subscribe to skyHD? Will the picture quality be affected if I don't?

Well if you have a HDTV with HD READY... then you will need to get a separate box to feed your HDTV HD picture. If it says it has a HD tuner then you are already set to receive HD pictures. However regular cable and satellite do not have HD except for a few stations. You must either subscrie with your cable or sattellite company for an HD channel package, or whatever else HD services there might be out there.. Oh and HD doesnt only improve picture quality but also sound quality. For a TRUE HD expierience try getting a kick but surround sound system. Good Luck

you will need a hd box from sky at cost of 300 pounds the picture quality of the tv will not be as good as frequency is designed to recieve hd

bigslam is correct, but you will also need video cables capable of delivering HD. the best cable to get is an HDMI cable. it's one cable for video and audio. your TV and Box or DVD player must have HDMI connections though. you can also use DVI, component video, S-Video but they're not as good as HDMI

You will have to pay,sky or telewest for hd.fr now anyway.
