I guess what to know if there is something that jumpstarts it rather than taking it to a store. It runs by kinetics.

It's a model VIP211 receiver. While watching an HD channel, I noticed the volume would go out all of the sudden, then I'd just change the channel and it would be fine. Now when the sound goes out, the only way to bring back the sound is to actually completely reset the receiver which is a major inconvenience having to wait to acquire and download a whole new signal. Whats going on? I'm putting off calling customer service only because I'm gonna be put on hold for a half an hour until Habib or someone like that tells me what to do, which I'm never in the mood to deal with.

Also, I have no signal on my local Fox and NBC HD channels. Never did. Anyone know what that is?

I have an HDTV that has input outlets for two components. Right now I have my cable and DVD player hooked up to the TV. I just got an XBOX360 and I want to hook that up to the HDTV as well. Is there a splitter or switcher of some sort that would allow me to plugin all three and allow me to use all three in HD without having to sneak back and unplug the component I dont want so I can plug in the one I want to use?

A link to a product would be great.

My friends and I were throwing a small party last night and my friend happens to have a fog machine. We were going to plug it up but were scared it would set off the smoke alarm. We plugged it in for just a second and some smoke filtered out, we quickly unplugged it but the fog in the room didnt set off the alarm. Will alot of this fog set off the alarm?(my family recently moved into a new house and its up to date I belive it was built in 2004, the smoke alarms look kind of high tech)

Please anybody, I left my laptop plugged into my wall circuit and had the power overload because I had too many appliances running at the same time. And I went to switch back on the electricity in my room and when I came back in the laptop had been playing music , but now was sputtering static very loudly and the screen was blank (nothing on there) and I tried to turn it off, and I could not turn it off. I finally took the battery out of it and put it back in and then it booted up fine and I am typing to you now on it.
How likely is it that I did serious damage?

What happened to it?

Hello. Can someone please tell me if there is some way for the Apple's MacBook Pro laptop to play different regions for DVDs when ever we want? Right now I have the laptop set to play region 2 DVDs. I can change the region setting 5 times only... I have region 1 & 2 DVDs and would like my DVD drive to act as a multi regional DVD player. Is there some form of free (multi regional) software or a way to change the settings on the MacBook Pro to play any region DVDs without limited times to change the settings? I would be greatful if anyone is able to help. Thanks!

I got these DVD writable disks so I could watch my cam videos on tv instead of the computer, but the dvd player says "bad disk" whenever I try to play a burned dvd in it. Could this be a fault in the player itself or just simply bad disks as it says? They are supposed to be high quality TDK disks.

Why does my Digital Audio Broadcast Radio keep losing the signal.
There I am listening away ....then suddenly...no noise.
The signal has dropped out yet again.
I have to switch the radio off then back on again , I find this annoying especaily when listening to something I want to hear.
Does this happen with Digital Tv.
The station I listen to ( or try to listen to) is BBC Radio 2.
