I bought an APPLE computer shortly after christmas. I now want to install a game called The Sims 2. When I put the cd in, the installer helper pops up and i click install, but an alert pops up and days The Sims 2 needs at least 1 MB of free space, and advices me to clean my drive. My friend told me to talk any pictures I have on my computer and upload it to a photo hosting web site, I did that, and it still alerts me of the same problem, so she says to delete some of my 906 songs I have in my iTunes, YEAH RIGHT! lol Let's just say thats were the experimenting STOP!
please give me knowlegdable advice.

I found a Sony accessory. It's round and the color is gray. It can be opened and inside is a roll of cable. the end of the cable is a USB plug which is clipped at the bottom of the cover. The roll can be detached from the cover which has tiny rubber suctions at its base. It may look like a paper weight from a distance. Can anybody help me identify this Sony Accessory??????

My father has over 100 VHS tapes with 2-3 movies on each. Now that VHS tapes are almost obsolete, he wants to replace them with DVDs. Does anyone have any ideas as to what he could do with all these tapes without just throwing them away?

The actual jack on the back of my tv set went bad after years of use, 2 pins fell out. I can easily solder a new one on the board but I have no idea where I can find a replacement, somebody must sell them, anyone know? And no, Radio Shack doesn't have them, and I'm only interested in taking one out of an old DVD player/TV etc. as a last resort. Thanks.

The pipes broke in the apartment upstairs and the damp made my tapes get mildewed. Can they be cleaned? They don't play and the mildew gums up my vcr. I threw away the obvious yucky ones (sob!), but now I can't tell if a tape is mildewed until it gums up the machine. Do I have to throw them all away - a lifetime of collecting pre-DVD - double sob and sniff???

i want to get an lcd flat panel hd ready tv either samsung, sony bravia v series, or a phillips ambilight (cant decide yet- any opinions welcome) HOWEVERRRR, when are the electrical shops having their next big sale and price slash - im such a stinge - and knowing my luck i would buy the flat panel and then 3 days later it would be in the sale .......

I have an i-sonic snapbox AV50 digital camcorder without a charger, I am unable to buy the manufacturers charger as they are in New York and noone sells them in the UK. I know nothing about battery chargers, there seems to be plenty of universal chargers on the market, will one of these suit my purpose? Does the battery have to be a certain size and shape? Or can anyone get hold of a i-sonic docking station? Thankyou.

Ok this question may sound stupid but how do i clean my mouse pad, its backside is denim and the part where i use the mouse is a thick blue,harry,cushioned area (also made out of denim) now this is dum but ive tried just washing it in my sink and thorwing it in the dryer but it just dosent work i still feel crums and hairs that have fallen off the mouse mad, now the mousepad is pretty strong and not many hairs are falling off its about 1 or 3 but i just cant get them off with my bare hands, so i ask (Whats the proper way to clean a denim OR any mousepad) Thanks

I have a small mixing desk I think it is an Alaris, i am running two speakers, one mike, and a minidisc player from it. ialso have a digiech multi chorus box but i don't know were to plug it into the desk, am am afraid of messing things up, if i put it in the wrong socket, can anyone advise me please?

I am talking about the white/red/ and yellow plugs for games and the dvd player. The one of the far left makes the screen flicker off and on from the game to the cable. Its loose or something. We plugged it in the back but it still happened. Everytime someone moves it does that. Thanks if anybody knows how to fix it.
