The easiest way to do it is with DVD Shrink. You'll have to find it on some P2P Sharing network. But it decodes them and saves the files on your PC, so you can burn them anytime with your own DVD/CD Burning software.

Not easily done, more work then it is worth. Either buy the dvd or buy the dvd player copier from the store, it would work the same way as the vhs did.
