I hit something on the remote for my Denon AVR-1603 and lost the sound in TV mode. All other modes (DVD/tuner/VCR) are working properly and it acts like it works just fine in TV mode--volume control, muting, etc--but NO SOUND!! We have checked all the inputs and everything is hooked up fine. I have pushed every button on the remote, hoping to reverse whatever I did. But, alas, no such luck. Any ideas?

Im am currently building a pedal board and have multiple questions.

The equipment i have is a Boss CS-3 Compressor, Boss TU-2 Tuner, Digitech Delay, Boss NS-2 Noise Suppressor and Crybaby 535Q.

The first question is what would be the best order for me to put these FX in a signal chain to obtain the best sound?

The second question is i am powering all of my units (including my US bought 18V crybaby) with nothin but a daisey chain and old phone adapter and there doesnt seem to be a problem. I understand the other FX working but how would an 18V crybaby unit work off a 9V thats is already powering 4 other pedals. Is this going to damage any of my equipment?

Would it be better for me to ue the 18V adapter through the daisy chain?

I know theres a lot but hopefully someone can help me out.

After 12 years of service, my old Sony is sick & I want a new telly. I'm after either an LCD or plasma, around 32 to 40 inches. I know the tech stuff about them, but could someone give me some constructive advice about what makes are worth buying, life expectancy (I've heard they sometimes only last 5 or so years, is this true?) & general experiences with them? how do i take the end off these new cable cords...... i either have to take the end off the cable cord OR drill bigger holes in the wall/floor or move the cord where i want it. These metal things used to screw on and off. (not even stealing cable...or trying anything shady just moving an active outlet over 12 ft)
they want almost forty bucks to come to the apartment- its almost as much as the monthly internet.
ideas& help........ i'd have to cancel the service call monday .

I brought a pop idol d.v.d k1 coverter off ebay. And plugged it in right but i can't get any sound. I plugged the scart into my t.v and into the input, then the other colours into my d.v.d and the output. But i can't get it to work do i need another scart lead or am i doing something wrong? Please help. :)
