how do i take the end off these new cable cords...... i either have to take the end off the cable cord OR drill bigger holes in the wall/floor or move the cord where i want it. These metal things used to screw on and off. (not even stealing cable...or trying anything shady just moving an active outlet over 12 ft)
they want almost forty bucks to come to the apartment- its almost as much as the monthly internet.
ideas& help........ i'd have to cancel the service call monday .

the new connectors are pressed on, you can get screw-on connectors at home depot or radio shack. make sure that the new one matches your cable (either RG 59 or RG 6, should be printed on the cable) cut off old connector and follow the stripping instructions on the new connector package. you should be good to go
