I've done this but it was a while ago. I just plugged the camera into the computer and dowloaded them. Then fired up a DVD/CD burner program (I think it was Roxio?) and selected burn, and picked the files. Worked like a charm and I could watch it on my TV DVD player.

First copy your clips on computer. Now you have choice to just record those clips on dvd in format they are. You will be able to watch it on computer, but most standalone dvd players will not be able to play them. If you want your video to be playable on all dvd players, you have to convert it into DVD Video format. For this you will need some type of DVD Authoring software. There are many free, and also many programs that you will have to pay, its' up to you witch one you will use.
