To anyone who owns a Pop idol D.V.D K1 Karaoke converter?

I brought a pop idol d.v.d k1 coverter off ebay. And plugged it in right but i can't get any sound. I plugged the scart into my t.v and into the input, then the other colours into my d.v.d and the output. But i can't get it to work do i need another scart lead or am i doing something wrong? Please help. :)
