I had all my songs on my laptop, then my laptop broke. So is there any way to load the songs back to my Itunes on a totally different computer, so I can add more songs to my Ipod without deleting the ones I have no backup for

I think it is time to call for a complete ban on the use of IPOD's and MP3 players in public places. Most people can’t use them responsibly and are a public nuisance. They are also a health risk as they increase the stress levels of commuters forced to overhear them on crowded trains, so ban them on health grounds.

We are now a nation who enjoys banning things so I would like to see this next on the list.

I want to choose between a Nano (8Gig) and a full size iPod (30Gig.)

I care not at all about video.

The nub of the question is, I think: Does the full-size have much more functionality in-so-far as searching and programming?

I think the 8Gig is enough memory, and I'll choose it for it's size (a modest advantage) as long as I'm not sacrificing much capability.

The ONLY downside to the full size is it's physical size... and even then it's not too big a deal, to me. But enough to push me to the Nano, if indded all other things are equal and 8Gig is sufficient.

Price doesn't eneter it as they are exactly the same price.

What say you?

stuck in the docked mode. I cannot access any of my music or screens. This happened last night when I had it hooked up to my computer and was charging it. It was strange because at one point all of the icons disappeared off my desktop then just as mysteriously they popped back on.again. I don't know whether or not this offers a clue as to what happened. Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.

I have a huge library of MP3s that came from a source other than the itunes store. i have one file labeled mp3s. within this file is probably about 40 sub files labeled and organized by artist. within those files are somewhere around 200 other files that break said artist down by album. those files contain my mp3s. all organized and ready to be found whenever i want.
now, these mp3s are not labled in the properties under any specific title, subject, author, artist or album per se. what would be my best course of action to move these files to my ipod and still have them organzed this way? i understand i cant simply drag and drop them as i would be able to do with most any other mp3 player. i have also tried to drag and drop into itunes and it puts all the songs into one unmanageable list. do i have to manually create 200+ playlists just to have my songs organized? please say it aint so! i just want my music organized on my mp3 player my way! is that too much to ask!?!? help!

Are there any earphones that I could use for my iPod or walkman that are stealthy, so that people would not notice them easily. I want to be able to listen to my walkman at school (I used to just pull my hood up but the teachers don't let me put up my hood).

PS - Please don't give me crap about not learning at school, I'm a good student, I just like having a soundtrack to my life.

I just saw a brief news clip where the price of songs on iTunes will increase from 99 cents per song to $1.29. What are your feelings on this issue?

Had been using Itunes as it had the greatest selection on kids songs. Then would burn the CD and re-rip the songs to put on a Fischer Price kid-tough mp3 player (for a 4 year old). However sometimes on wma the songs will turn orange and say not permitted, but not all do?

Also sometimes Itunes will give me errors on CD's Ive ripped there, saying it cant find "the source" so wont play the file. Even when its a CD I bought.

I poked around on Itunes and wma help, but that was useless. Wondering what exactly is built in these programs. And frustrated of buying music I cant copy for my own use on multiple devices.

*Read about itunes charging 30 cents more for songs without DRM also
