Get the Free MP3 WMA Converter from the link below, it can reduce the size of your MP3s by reducing the Bitrate, all you have to do is select all your MP3s and select the MP3 format output, select a lower bitrate (32 Kbps for example) and every MP3 will be reduced to 2Mb or less in average. Then, burn your new reduced MP3s by using your Burning software but burn the CD as a Data CD, not an Audio CD, then when you get your new computer just copy them. You can also "restore" the size of your MP3s reencoding them again with the same program to a higher bitrate. It's free, fully functional and easy to use. It can convert "all" your MP3s at once.

Well, first of all, you should be burning them as a DATA CD Project, NOT Audio CD. I would recommend using Nero or Roxio to do this and not the cheesy burning software that usually comes preloaded on PC's. Also, you could slap in a DVD Burner in place of your CD Burner and you will be able to fit over 6X the capacity of a CD-R by using a DVD-R. You can get an internal DVD-R burner for around $35-$50. But remember, you need to do it as a DATA CD or DATA DVD depending on the media you use.

What you need to do is to use your CD-r as a data disk and not a music disk.
Whatever cd burning software you use, tell it that you want to create a data disk. This will cause the software to create a disk that will copy the mp3's extactly as they are on your computer. You will be able to fit much more mp3 files that way.

The ABSOLUTE easiest way to save the music is to drag and drop them all on an external hard-drive. You can buy a 1 gig removable flash drive for 9.99 at Micro center. This way the music can be loaded onto ANY PC whenever, where ever. And once you're done, you don't have to trash it. You erase the files on it and use it again for folders, music, pictures, games.
