Music & Music Players - October 2006

Please help! I own an Ipod Nano. Itunes does not recognize it nor does it have any options in the Preferences etc about ipods. My Ipod is shown in my Computer. I cannot add any songs onto it because of Itunes not recognizing it, and Itunes has never recognized it..on My computer. On other computers it is recognized. I seem to have tried everything. Recently when I open Itunes and have my Ipod plugged in there is an error message about the Ipodservice Module encountering a problem. Help!

As most of you may know apple recently luanched the new line of iPods. In August i purchaced an iPod nano. It is not the newest one but the one before it. I love it but the space of 1GB is so smallish. The new iPod nano features a 2GB cheaper then the 1GB iPod i paid for! I am quite upset and thinking about returning the iPod i have, and getting the new one. I have the sales slip and it hasn't been 90 days yet. Should i bring it back or not. Please advise.

I am looking to listen to audio books and I am sick of the wires on headphones. Do they do bluetooth stereo headphones?

Also, I want the facility to be able to rewind and fast forward a track and to change the speed. Do any mp3 players have this facility?

Also, do any record so I can record lectures?

Will i be able to have several i tunes with seperate playlists on the same comp? I am rubbish with technology and am worried that when i plug another ipod into computer, it will scrub my list of songs and i will end up with her Disney classics on mines - if you know what i mean!

I've just left home for university and my ipod contains all my music on my computer @ home but i've installed itunes on my laptop @ uni and my laptop doesn't contain my music @ home. if i tried to update my ipod, would it remove all the songs on my ipod? also i guess i could i start afresh but i wouldn't want to lose most of my songs and i also do not want to use limewire on the university network.

I'm after a 30gb ipod and can get one over here for £190. In november i'm going to new york and in their 5th ave store they are advertised as $249. I don't know whether to wait but am wondering if i'm going to get over there and find that they then add tax onto that price which will make it the same as over here. Can anyone help??

Don't worry about capacity....I understand that bit. What I'm after is the differences between the standard Ipod generations. I believe it's on gen 6 just now, but what were the changes? When did colour displays become standard? What about video playback? Tell me everything!
Where does the U2 Ipod fit in? I'm a big fan but want to be sure that model has all the functions I'm after.....a colour screen being one.
Please help me make the decision!

I am planning to buy an MP3 player :) soon so i want to figure out which Mp3 player is the best.
Well actually i have thought of buying the ipod but i've read through the yahoo answers and some say you have to buy music from itunes for the ipod. is that true ?
Zen from creative is also good but i think it's kind of expensive. ( i am living in singapore by the way. and it costs $599 in singapore)

so i hope to hear from others' experiences and ideas :)
it will be better if the design is nice.
