Almost,the main difference is that you need to use itunes program to use it.A normal mp3 does not.

It can play mp3 files, yes, but it can also play apple's AAC format from the iTunes store. And yes, you need iTunes in order to transfer music on to it.

yeah the same, but with a brand tag "apple" and also with an autoshuffle system.
