The free downloads will damage your computer, and you will spend more to fix it than paying for music in the first place. Many sources will not let you burn the mp3 files to disc (because they require a franchise). I have decided my best bet is www.emusic.com They have several subscription plans. For $10./month you get 60 downloads. If you subscribe by the year, they give you a 512 MBgyte mp3 player worth about $50. You can do what you want to with their downloads --- burn to disc or whatever. So get your friends together and share the cost. If you have 9 friends, your cost is only $1./month and you can keep the player for doing the work. Their tracks are virus-free.You can listen to song samples before you buy. They offer a trial membership and 25 free downloads.

I'd strongly suggest that you subscribe to some of the inexpensive (and legal) MP3 services available on the internet. There are some pretty good deals out there. For instance, Walmart has a huge library of songs for 88 cents each.

I don't know which country you live in. However, the RIAA has been cracking down on users who participate in illegal music downloading networks. Even casual users have been served with lawsuits that usually costs them thousands of UDS ($) to make them go away.

Try www.slyck.com. It contains a list of sites where you can download MP3 music. You will need to install a download tool like shareza. Good luck.

Limewire network may have virus infected files but why are you so stupid. Just download .mp3 files, they can never contain virus. Virii are there only in executables files (.exe, .scr etc) and they are generally disguised like britney.exe and kiss.exe, if you know what that means.

Just have a little sense and that is all you need. I use Limewire but my computer never got infected because I know music is not .exe

there's no such thing as good, free and legal music. You have to pay to get good music. Otherwise, listen to your ringtones, lol!!!
