Cell Phones & Plans - March 2007

My aunt is one of those people who just has a cell phone for emergencies. She added a line for my cousin. While my cousin was in Jamaica for a couple weeks she lost her cell phone. When my aunt got the bill it was $15,000 dollars. Is that legal?? I mean I have sprint and i've asked for a cap to be put on my phone so I wont go over a spending limit and I've lost my phone overseas and they took off the charges which was like 10 dollars. It would have been more but when I realized my phone was stolen I used someone elses phone to call my best friend back in the states to tell her to call sprint and suspend my phone. (FAST THINKING)

Anyway I think if Cingular saw that this bill was getting really high they should have notified the customer...especially if their average monthly bill is like 49.99

Well I've seen another post about a $7,000 cell phone bill so I guess other people have experienced this! Its starting to mess with my aunts credit score....Any ADVICE???

I am getting silly spiteful texts messages sent to my phone and I'll be damned if I am going to change my tel. no. Is there a service that I can call to find out who owns the number that is texting me. When I call the number all I get is the network automated reply. I have called the number from other phones and also withheld my number but it still goes onto automatic reply. I am at my best trying to ignore these messages.

Hi, i am living in the UK and i will be travelling to India soon,how can i make cheap phone calls from India to UK? I mean in the UK we have pay as you talk, where we top up some money on our sim card and then we can ring or text, is it the same in india? Can i just buy a sim card and how do i put money on the sim card? I do not mind doing this as the £ is stronger, so i can top up £10 and i will have about 800 rupee on my sim card, is this enough to call the UK? How much are international calls on a india sim card?

Why are so many of them cramming useless gadgets into their phones when they haven't gotten the phones right yet? I don't need a camera or MP3 player in my phone and, even if I did, the ones they put in phones are no good. The main reason to get a cell phone is to make phone calls. Why don't they stop worrying about these gadgets and get the phones working right? Then, once they have the phones right, if they want to add extras, go ahead.

cellular south requires you have a picture id and be the main account holder if phone is in other partys name...is there any other way to get copy of itemized bills if he is not with me?
