Whoever it is sending these horrible text messages, must have set their phone so that it does not accept any incoming calls. That is why you cannot get past the automated reply.
You could try contacting the network provider, although I doubt that they will be able to give you any information due to data protection.
Your best bet would be to report these messages to the police. After all, if you are getting a lot of them, it could be considered as harrassment. In turn, they will be able to obtain information from the network provider to find out who the telephone number is registered to, and hopefully stop the culprit.

I've had abusive messages & texts on my phone. I found that my service provider was limited as to what they would do until I reported it to the police. Once you have reported it, you get a police incident number & then u will get action from the service provider to block the number from calling/texting u. Remember, there is nothing to stop the person from texting/calling u from a different number. Store the text messages as your evidence. It is also advisable to text the number back & inform them that u have reported the matter to the police & unless the messages cease immediately then u will be keen to prosecute. Good luck!

If you get a number on the screen when they call, you should be able to block that number, ring your network provider and they should with any luck put a block on that number.
What you could also do is make a log of the messages you receive then you have evidence to either take it to your network provider, and also the police, because they can trace the source of the messages. Only take it to the police if the network provider doesnt want to know.

due to number protabilty its very hard to find out who owns the number unless you call the Office of each company and ask if they own the number. Note they will not give you the info of the person, but will let you launch a complait against the person. If all fails Call your local police station as this is called harasement and is against the Law, they will track down the number and the person. Its importatn that you keep all messages you receive from teh number to make a better case agaist the person, both in criminal and civil court.

I don't mean to stereotype, but most guys aren't huge fans of talking on the phone. By texting, they are still keeping in contact with you, without having to stay on the line for an hour talking. I'm not sure that there's much you can do except appreciate the fact that he takes the time to text. Hope I helped.

best thing to do is phone your mobile phone operator and they should be able to Trace the number and block it
if the texts become very spiteful you could always go to the police but that might be a bit ott

don't think theres any way to find out who owns the number, you could try calling your network to see if they can block that number from txing you,
try phone'in the number out of the blue from some one Else's phone, might get an answer.

Call your cell phone provider and explain what is going on. Ask to have all texts from this number reimbursed and to have them block this user from contacting you. They can do it, and will.

Respond with a text message saying you are storing their nasty texts for evidence should you need to take the matter further and advise them that if you receive anything further that is exactly what you will do. It usually works!
