Do the letters SIM as in a SIM card for a phone actually stand for anything or is it just a name like say a 'SanDisk' card?

I go through another company now but my cellphone is locked through my old company and I paid alot for my phone that is locked, I dont want to buy another one when nothing is wrong with the one I have.

I have a Moto Silvr, and It looks like dust or dirt, i guess from the pocket, behind or in the screen. Is their anyway to get it out?

I have a Moto Slivr. I can send pics that I take to my computer via Adobe, and I can upload mp3s to my phone via itunes software. But how do I (a)Upload mp3 to my pohone outside of itunes(so i can use them as a ring tone), and (b)How do I upload pics (jpegs) to my phone so I can use them as wallpapper? I have a USB cable, and I've tried draggin them into my phone via 'My Computer' on the dektop, but it wont take.

a few weeks ago I asked a question about the quality of a vhs tape if i kept recording over shows with other shows. i was worried about the qaulity getting worse each time. someone said the quality does get worse each time but they also told me to get something called a magnetic eraser. they said that it makes the tape blank again. well thats great but can anyone tell me how it works . what does the eraser look like? is the quality going to be good still? i did see a few online I couldnt really tell what they looked like. I did notice they were so expensive. the cheapest one i found was like 80$ why are they so expensive? well if u have any info I would be glad to read it !thanks :)

My LG Verizon cell will be upgraded in June, until then I'm stuck with it. It doesn't play bought ringtones correctly. What I mean is you don't hear the actual band playing or singing, only a chime imitating the song.

But, if I purchase a ringback song for my callers to listen to when they call me, will they hear the actual song or still only the fake imitation? Since the music isn't actually coming out of the phone I'm hoping it will work.

with camera , good battery life , good looking , bluetooth...
i like some of nokias but the battery life is so poor but i know the performance is good, i personally like RAZR v3i cuz of being nice and sleek and good battey life...

1) Every time it blacks out or I slide it down it locks up. Is there a way to permanently unlock it?

Ok i have my cell as you probally know but i need to know after a picture message has been sent like if you can see it come up on your bill or if you can see what pictures have been sent to the other phones on the bill.
