I want to open my own cell phone plan with Verizon. Can I do so without having any credit. It's not that I have bad credit, I just don't have any. I've just turned 18 recently.

I had one but lost it and I'm stuck with a phone that has a blank screen..

Okay, so I got this new picture phone but I had never owned a phone with a camera prior to this one. One week while I was away on business, I decided to send my husband some very "compromising" photos of myself. Needless to say, I did not know that I was automatically selecting this feature which sent the photos to a web page that my phone company has set up for people with camera phoes (I guess) until I called in and was told that I had an album set up on their website!!!! I almost lost it when the rep told me that he can help me set the account up over the phone. I told him no thanks and set it up myself. When I finally got myself set up and logged on, I saw all the photos I had taken over the past several months except for the nude ones. Where did they go??? Maybe someone got ahold of them and are using for their own personal pleasure?

1. Is it common in the States for providers to charge for incoming calls? If so, when did they start doing this? (I left the States for a year and a half and recently returned. Before they did not charge as far as I know?)

2. Are there any contracts by providers that are 'Semi-contracts'? Meaning, I do not have to commit to a year or longer (I am not talking about prepaid phones), just a less committed contract. If so, which provider?

3. (Just in case I get no where with Q's #2) What is the best deal on a pre-paid phone currently? A link would be nice. Thanks.

I took my phone Motorola 3V [I'm well aware it is a rubbish phone] into the store to get fixed today – the 7 button was sticking.

I have backed up my SIM with my SIM card backup, but stupidly it seems most of my contacts were actually saved on the phone – DOH!

What are the chances that all my contacts will still be there after the phone is repaired?

few years back nearly everyone (in the uk) had nokia's and sony ericsson were almost unknown, know they are the biggest in my opinion, they have done well i think its because of the walkman series of phones they have, what do you think?
