i like some of nokias but the battery life is so poor but i know the performance is good, i personally like RAZR v3i cuz of being nice and sleek and good battey life...

Razr V3i is good, but don't ever get it wet or drop it . . . . ummm. . . had 2 and broke 2.
I like the motorola V360 or similar (might be an old model that I am quoting here . . )
Great camera, great battery life, MP3 ringtones and cartoon dancing characters that you can set for different people (I am easily pleased . . .)
I don't think you can go past a motorola - my first mobile/cellphone was a motorola back in 1993 (!) and I love 'em!

My wife and I each have a Cingular, L2000. We have no
complaints. We can call from anywhere in the US, and the voice quality is perfect. This phone also has a camera which sometimes comes in handy.
It may not be as fancy as some of the later ones out, but it is very dependable.

I don't know what you are willing to spend but I recently purchased a Treo 700w (Microsoft operating system). I could not be happier. I was costly, but I now have a phone, organizer, and basically a computer in my hands. I not begun to utilize its capabilities. I is bulky but with bluetooth, I can clip it to my waist and still have hands free.
