Your sim card is used for GSM, not just extra memory.

It is normally located behind the battery. so turn off your phone, take out the battery and you should see a small white box with a corner cut out. That would be a sim card.

I could be wrong but Tracfones are not GSM therefore they do not have SIM cards. Tracfones are TDMA which do not require SIMs.

Tracfones use to be analog and I was under the impression that when they went digital they were on the TDMA network.
