I have an Olympus C-755 now and like it except for it's hard to take good pics in low-light situations without a tripod which I can't carry around when I travel. So I want to upgrade. SLRs look good but they don't have a built-in long zoom. I don't want to have to carry a seperate lens. I also like cameras that use regular AA batteries. Saw a Sony Alpha and liked it except for the zoom isn't big enough, but I like the focus on it, good for good pics in low light, even from far away. Any knowledgable people have any advice? Thanks (Anyone know about the Canon S2 Is or S3 IS? Good for low light?)

Compared with what I see, the a520 will bury the blacks to get the brightest areas right, or if i change exposure so the blacks are correct, theres way too much white level.Have tried all combinations of parameters.

I have a digital camera. its a vivitar vivicam3985. ive had it for about a year, and i love it... but for some strange reason when i plug it into the usb.... it's not reading it? usually it switches to like the "loading" screen when i power it on, but now it just stays on the camera screen. can anyone help me or tell me what the problem could be? i would really apprecieate it since i don't want to buy a whole new camera. thanks!

I'm on my high school's yearbook staff, so I take a lot of pictures of different things.
What kind of camera is good for sports and candid shots (short delay), and also close-up, good quality stuff?
Additionally, what would be the best choice for durability? I always have my camera with me; I use it for more than just yearbook.
Various brand and model examples would help me out a ton. Thanks in advance!

I have several lenses from my 33mm that will fit. I find used 7D out there but why was it discontinued? Isn't the Dynax 7D the same camera but the British version?

They are on sale at a local retail store, and I want to buy a cheap, real digital camera for my two small children for Christmas. But I don't know anything about them, and can't find a lot of info on the net about them. I hope some of you have some experience with these cameras and can tell me if they are worth buying.

We can't spend too much, but my 16-year-old loves photographing his friends & odd things (like his room and the cat!), so it doesn't need to be fancy camera. Also, he'd like a printer to go with it. Again, he's happy w/smaller prints, though it'd be nice to have the capacity for larger ones, like 8X10's. There's an HP combo at bestbuy.com, that looks decent. We'd like to spend no more than $200!

I own a sonny t5 and many of my pictures (most of them of my children) come out of focus (don't know if it's because of the movement or if I'm doing something wrong). Anyway, I need a compact digital camera basically to take familly pictures (maybe to enlarge them 8X11) but I need them to be sharp and not out of focus.
Thank you.
