I'm an aspiring film maker, and I want to buy a camera to expirement with. It has to be something not too terribly expensive- I don't need the footage to be highly proffesional looking, it's literally just to try things out. I just need the sound to be ok, and if I film at a distance at night, I need things like street lights and city lights to show up. Can anyone suggest a make/model?

I have approx 200 6" x 4" standard photos which I would like put onto a cd. I dont have the negatives and they were taken from a disposable camera. I have visited Tesco, Jessops, Photo Factory etc and they have said I need to scan them in manually at their store. However, ths is really expensive and, obviously, very time consuming! Surely there must be an easier way? Thanks in advance, any advice is much appreciated.

Hi! Please...I have a SONY DSC-S50 Cyber-shot digital camera, and I believe it's time for a battery replacement. The model number on my battery is: NP-FM50. This battery is the original battery and it came with the camera. It's labled as an "infolithium" battery. Please, is it mandatory that I order a SONY replacement battery, in particular, or am I safe in ordering a compatible lithium battery online or elsewhere? If so, which online site is recommended? One site suggested that sometimes third-party batteries don't always work in SONY digital cameras. Sony, naturally, suggests that I use their brand of accessories. I am still quite the novice and any/all advice regarding this subject will be greatly appreciated! Thank you! :)

Wide angle is best I am told, but several to choose from (12mm, 17-55mm, 20mm, 24mm, 28mm) and what does the f stop mean? Is it best to get an adjustable like f/3.5-5.6 or a lower number for interiors in case lighting is not so good? I want to be able to stand in the doorway of a small bathroom and take a picture of the entire room, as well as entire kitchens, dining rooms, etc. Any suggestions on lighting/flash to use would be helpful as well as the lenses.

Why would someone purchase a digital camera, if they do not have a computer. Most of the time the pictures are not developed.

I am interested in getting an HP 8881 camera dock. It is supposed to charge the camera's rechargeable batteries if you put it in the dock. Sounds great! But what happens if by mistake you have non-rechargeable batteries in the camera? Will you damage the camera? Does anyone know if this HP model has some sort of 'safety' on it if the camera doesn't have the right batteries in it?
