my Fuji s5000 was £500 when I bought it, you can now buy it for under £240. I cannot fault it, 10 x optical zoom 6 m pixel, loads of features including video, but also very simple if need be.

Check out the Casio Exilim EX-Z70 (Black) 7.2 megapixels, 3x optical zoom, 4x digital zoom and light too, just 118 grms, 2.5 inch L.e.d screen and it has a metal body so it can take a knock and it not too big either, its a excellent little camera and wont take up much room, i think Jessops are selling this model for £399.99, you can get one for less than £150, have a look on Pricerunner, you will get a bargain and a bloody good camera to boot...happy snapping and a good journey !!!
Almost 4got it do's Video with sound too !!!

After spending £600 on a cam that records video, I found out from a manager of currys (after i tried to take it back) that a camera and recorder dont work well together its always better to get one of each and that way you know that you will get better quality. Buy One of each at a lower price and safe the hassle of bad digital photos.
