I think that ebay has some really cheap cameras but you do get what you pay for. I bought one there once and the picture quality was terrible but thats what I get I suppose. Well I have bought another one since then and its great I love the quality and like you I want something cheap too. Here is the link they have great deals.

There is nothing wrong with purchasing on ebay. If there were to be something wrong w/ picture quality then it would be the model of the camera that was purchased, not the seller. I purchase all the time on ebay. And I'll tell ya.. I really save a lot. Here is the link to the best slim camera out there that I know of that I can find that is affordable.. It generally runs about $180-200. But you can get it on ebay for less. Here is the link to your product. http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-1751-2978-71/1?AID=5463217&PID=2142836&mpre=http%3A//search.ebay.com/search/search.dll%3Ffrom%3DR40%26satitle%3Dfuji+finepix+z1+digital+camera. Some are bidding at $65 right now.

Good luck!!

for a top quality, inexpensive tiny digicam... consider the Panasonic FX01 or FX07. You get a really wide 28mm lens made by leica and optical image stabilization built in. Two very nice features that most don't have.

Buy.com usually has a good selection of electronics (including cameras) and their price is usually hard to beat. Also they ship relatively fast.

My favorite store is Microcenter. There are several throughout the US and they have a great online catalog.

The deals you get in the store are unbelievable.
