Before I go out to buy a new HD-DVD player specifically the (Toshiba HD-A30) to accompany my new Sony Bravia KDL-46W3000 LCD TV I was wondering if Blockbuster or Moviegallery even has HD/Blu-Ray Movies available for rent?

I do know that Blockbuster announced that it was only going to support Blu-Ray but I failed to notice if they even had any available for rent as I just upgraded to all this new Technology.

I dont buy movies at all as it is in my opinion a waste of money, so if I cant even rent HD movies then there is no use for me to buy one and instead I could go ahead and get a DVD player that upconverts regular DVDs to 1080p correct?

Are there any cell phones which can be set to record audio? (like through the hands free mic maybe?) Not recording calls, just audio near the phone. Like for voice annotations.

I asked for rechargeable CR-V3s for Christmas, but got 4 Ni-Mh rechargeable instead. The CR-V3 looks the same as 2 Ni-Mh's... just stuck together. So I think they'll fit... I'm just a little leery of putting them in. The package on the Ni-MS says, "Compatible for most digital cameras".
What does everyone think? I've looked through the Kodak book and found nothing.

I'm not talking about putting a filter over your expensive glass, but I just want to pass along a tip to pointand shoot users.

One of the top questions around here is from people who have gotten their lenses jammed somewhere in the in-out cycle. There is also the dreaded "E18" error...

It is very important that you do NOT block the lens as you turn on the camera. The gears inside these tiny camera are - wait for it - TINY, so they break or get jammed easily.

I have one tip to pass along. I have gotten into the habit of setting my camera mode to "View" EVERY TIME I turn off the camera. If I put the camera in my pocket (as usual) and bump the on-off switch by accident, at least the lens will not get jammed as it tries to extend inside my pocket. I can see that this would be very important for ladies who carry their cameras in their bags and especially important for people who pack their cameras in a suitcase before vacation.

It's easy and it could save you some damage.

I have 4 speakers and a subwoofer hooked up to my computer. When I play some music online like from yahoo videos or aol videos, there are only a couple songs that actually come through the speakers. Why is this? All the other songs go through the monitor speaker. And it sounds terrible. Does it have anything to do with the song itself or the feed thats coming from these sites? I need to feel the vibration!

I recently bought an 80gb classic video iPod. When I plugged the iPod in for the first time, it connected perfectly and synced with iTunes. However the 2nd or 3rd time of syncing, it failed to sync with iTunes but my computer made the routine usb connection noise. Following this I found the iPod screen to have frozen. I have tried to switch off and reset but neither work, so the screen is permanently frozen on the last track I was listening to. At the moment the only option I have is to leave it on until it runs out of battery life. Please help!
