A usb memory stick is one way and one of the easiest though slow if you want to send a lot of stuff back and forth.
here's some other ways to get stuff from pc to ps3:
1) stream it. One of the best, easiest-to-use streaming apps is called MediaTomb for linux and mac. If you use Windows, I think Windows media player can do it. As long as your pc and ps3 are hooked up directly or through a router, you can just select areas of your pc's hard drive to make available to your ps3. (only works for music, video and photo)
2) make a shared partition. It is possible to create a partition on a usb hard drive that both the ps3 XMB and PC can access, read and save from. for linux there's a how-to at
www.psubuntu.com
the advantage of this is you can send stuff both ways, not just pc to ps3.
3) use a SD card or memory stick. This is only if you have a ps3 version with the card slots, and your pc does too.
4) got a cd-burner, or dvd-burner? You can burn your data onto a rewriteable cd/dvd then put the disc in the ps3 and copy it off. This is the first method I ever used.

You have to make folders on a usb memory stick called PICTURE VIDEO MUSIC and put the corresponding files from your computer into those folders. Then when you insert the usb memory stick in your ps3 go to the related areas in the XMB (cross media bar) and copy them to your ps3's hard drive.

Yeah you could, purely insert the CD and once you notice it on the XMB press triangle and choose reveal all, and then replica the documents you prefer. in the event that they have countless styles of documents they could look below p.c.., and Video and song, yet once you prefer to repeat pictures purely seek for the CD below pictures, and the comparable for movies and song.
