Consumer Electronics - 29 December 2006

I have so many cassettes, yes cassettes, (I am old LOL) and would like to save them to CD. Is this possible with a regular cassette/CD player and notebook computer that burns CD's? Is there a patch cord or some sort of USB that would allow this connection ? Thanks for your help.

i have an ipod nano...and my computer t home broke down so i went to my stepdads who loaded some songs onto my ipod. So now, our computer is fixed, but whenever i logged onto itunes, my ipod doesnt show up on itunes...help!!

I've been asked to film and edit a performance by a local dramatic society and put it onto DVD; the agreement is they will buy the DVDs for about £10 each. What can I do to stop them being copyable? How can I prevent one person buying the DVD, making fifty copies, and selling or giving them to the other members?

My Sony instruction book that came with my new 5.1 800 watt system claims that Coaxial is the best connection for DVD because it is "louder". I have read articles that claim there is NO real difference b/w the two connections. Sony did include a very flimsy/thin 3ft. coaxial cable which I have on my new Panasonic upconverting DVD player now. Anyway I have my Phillips gold plated optical cable hooked up to my PS2 since it only offers optical and my dvd player offers both outputs. I chose to give in and use Sony's advice and their free coaxial cable for now, but my opinion may change with yalls answers! lol..

One more thing... Would a "better" coaxial cable make a difference instead of the flimsy non 24Kgold connection that Sony provided??

I own an Audiovox CDM8910. This plug is located on the back of the phone in the upper left hand corner, next to the antenna. I've looked in the manual and nowhere does it describe what it is. Or least I haven't found any such description.

I was wondering which of the two to get. The problem with the Wii is i might get one in February for my birthday but I live in Canada so i don't know if it will be sold out by then.Oh and will it even be in stock by mid February? Also, i think it costs a lot, so is it worth the money? On the other hand the DS Lite is portable and has many good features but I heard it gets boring after a while. I was originally thinking of getting the Wii because its fun and its great when friends come over (even family) since I never invite them because my place is so boring. So which one should I get and why? Thanks!

i noticed american phone companies are strict..they cut ur mins 4 even incoming calls.
in T-mobile's myFaves, they say u get unlimited calls to the 5numbers u put in... but will they(cingular, verizon, sprint, etc) charge them(my freinds) 4 receiving my calls?

Basically, I'm suppose to be getting a contract phone tomorrow. I'm 17 and I'm gonna have my mum come with me because I can't do it alone because of my age. We can't use her bank account or anything like that so is it possible to get the phone in my bank account & name but my mum JUST to sign the forms as she's over 18?

Okay so I want a theatre system where the TV will produce the sound from the surround sound speakers, and my dvd player. In order for it to play through the TV I need a home theatre system with a A/V receiver right? What is a DVD receiver and can I get that to do the same thing as the A/V receiver? Also I have a HDTV and a X box360, is there something specifically I should be getting so the sound comes out good?

I added some songs from a friends computer on to my iPod, so when i connected my iPod on to my computer it had those songs on my iPods library but not on the main iTunes library... Is their a way to transfer those songs from the iPod to the main library??? please answer if you know!!
