I discovered my Cyber Shot with a cracked LCD screen while I was getting ready to take some snap-shots. Any thoughts on this as a problem with Sony Cybershot cameras? Is Sony covering the repair?

Of course someone broke it. They're just not saying anything.

LCD screens are very sensitive to pressure. even some times the LCD can crack because of changes in air pressure( flights ) and it's not only about Sony. I saw many SD series canons with same problem. And it will cost a lot to repair. If you decided to buy another camera buy one that has a hard plastic protector on the screen.

The blue dot will in all probability stay for ever, it is not going that to any extent further will look (of any colour) that's between the producing problems with liquid crystal show monitors, they're graded for % of defects and you get what you pay for. i might attempt replacing it, yet dont be bowled over in case you detect out thats a form of "yeah it occurs, this significant factors says you agree for it" issues
