I have a 60gb iPod colour. I have been using it on a WinXP machine, but have recently bought another machine with Win2000 on, that I was hoping to use as a music server and to encode AAC files, leaving my other machine free for gaming etc.

However, the iPod will only sync with the XP machine. The Win2000 machine detects it, but it will not work in iTunes. I have recently restored the iPod, to no avail.

Does anybody have any ideas?

I think you have to buy it on home phones when you get tired of pressing redial there's something you can do so it rings when the line is unbusy. How do i get that feature on a cell phone or is it built in?

I just got an e-mail warning me that telemarketers will be allowed to start buying cell phone numbers the first of Dec. Is this true? Am I the last to know?

He already has the old one and has ton's of games. He really wants it now and I think it's just the fact that others are making such a huge deal out of it. I know a few people that are possibly getting some and will sell them so I'm just wondering. I have read that they are going to have a ton of issues and the next shipment won't be available until March. That's $600 or more that's spent on a game should I or shouldn't I.

I told him if he couldn't get one now then I would get him one when the next shipment came out and it seemed as though that wasn't good enough!

I am looking into buying the Oylmpus E-Volt 500 DSL digital camera and also looking at a Panasonic DMC-FZ50K 10.1MP with 12x optical zoom. I am looking for a camera that I can zoom in but I don't know what all that pixel information means. Why buy a DSL when the zoom on another camera seems to be the same?

Hi,
I need a device that will cut the power (electricity) then the voltage gets too high.

For example, in my city we have 220V, so I need a device that will cut the power when the voltage gets above 230V.

I will this device to protect Computers and other devices.

If the device restores the power when the voltage returns to a normal level, it would be really helpful. Otherwise I will need to power the device on again.

The simpler/cheap the device the better ;)

Thanks
Oliver

I'm in the market for a 30-40 inch HDTV, hopefully something with 720P resolution. I hear that places like best buy and circuit city arent the best places to find quality TV's, but I'm too afraid to buy something off the internet because there are so many site to choose from. What are the the best places on the web to find a deal, as well as the best stores to find quality TV's?

I've enabled POP Access on my Gmail account and added my Gmail account into my Microsoft Outlook (which works great, both receiving & sending messages.)

When I try to set my account to work with my Outlook on my iPAQ (With Windows Mobile 5.0) I manage to both receive & send messages successfully. However, whenever I click "Send & Receive", the program erases the messages that had already been downloaded to my PDA, even if I didn't even open them.

How can I keep my older messages that I download to my PDA?

Can anyone tell me if rechargeable AA batteries are as good as the lithium variety on compact digital cameras? How may pics would you get before needing to change, assuming you review pictures from time to time? I'm looking at the Canon Powershot A430.
