ipod is a model of mp3 player made by apple. It's probably the most well known type of mp3 player and was the best for a long time.
It exists in several generations and different types. It's basic forms are
ipod shuffle: very small, no screen
Nano: slightly larger, with a screen and round' click-wheel'
Ipod: Has video playback and can hold many more songs than either of the others.
every so often they bring out a new generation which includes more features or the ability to hold more songs etc
This is just apples of course there are many other different famous brands of mp3 player such as sony, creative and even microsoft are having a pop at the ipod marketshare with their new zune player

IPod is just the apple range of mp3 players.
i love my ipod because i can store photos, notepad documents and videos on it too.
its also a hard disk drive meaning i can use it like a memory stick.
there are other mp3 players that offer some of these features but the iPod is the best one that i've tried.
At the end of the day, it depends on personal preference. if you dont need all that memory and just want a basic mp3 player for a couple of tracks, opt for a cheaper one, but make sure its branded because they are of better quality.

There are different storage amounts and other little features
(video, pics) It really just boils down to how much you wanna spend
I've got a 256MB RCA lyra and it only cost me 40 bucks. No complaints here.

one in the same...so yes they are. Ipods are said to be easier to operate but there are ones out there that are just as easy like Sandisk mp3 players.

i pod has memory gb in it and contains screen also available without.mp3 has pendrives and both are not same.i pod is better than mp3 because mp3 if you bye for certain pendrive you cannot cange or include gb,well as in i pod you can change the memory.
