Consumer Electronics - 15 October 2006

I have noticed for a while that the color is really dark and I have to adjust the brightness. Now, tonight, I turned the t.v. on and it had no color. (Just Black and White) A few minutes later, there was a loud snap and the color came back. Is my t.v. going, or is there something simple I can do to keep it from doing this again? ( The t.v is about 10 years old, btw)

Twice I've been charged £1.49 and their claim is that somethings have been downloaded. I know nothing has as I keep the phone locked in my room, and only allowed my son to use it with special permission when he has run out of credit on his phone. It has come to a point that I have removed the sim card and don't use it for fear of causing a download as is their suggestion, even though I know you can't download things just by touching buttons. One has to confirm. I only used the phone for emergency use only, and my son only used it with special permission and it was always for a quick call and was put back in my room. I wrote to the company and sent one months money even though I am not using the phone anymore. They aren't solving the problem, just giving me credit, but when the bill arrives the extra has been taken! The way I've been spoken to has been appalling, having been kept on hold for ages. I would truely appreciate some advice as I can only end the contract in March. Thanx

I just happened to buy some chinese speakers for $14...they claim they can work with any music device including Ipod and they did they sounded ok ohhh but guess what???? when I disconnected them mi Ipod screen looked so bad it looked just as If the Ipod was screwed and It wouldnt work again!!!! but when I disconnected the speakers and replugged the regular Ipod headphones it was OK ...so i came to the conclusion that maybe on purpose Apple Computer wants us to buy only licensed accesories or something.....Has something like this happen to you???????? What do you think about this

alright....Im getting an ipod after months of drooling over them. I put one on lay away and Im going to pay it off with my birthday money (present to myself). I decided to read up on them and Im getting a mixture of about half " I love my ipod so much!!!" and half "I hate my ipod!!!!!" So. What do you guys think of your ipods? how do they compare to other mp3s ..and what problems do you have with them? Any other pros/ cons? Thanks!

When i try to put certain songs on my iPod shuffle it takes a really long time, like 30 minutes. It might be the new iTunes version, because around the time i installed it this started happening. I have a warranty. Should I take it back? Any advice?

I have two TiVos; one set to broadcast on channel 3; and the other set to broadcast on channel 4. How can I combine these two signals, so that I have one coax plugged into my TV; allowing the TV to choose which TiVo to watch by choosing channel 3 or 4?

I don't know what to get.
Should I get speakers made just for the ipod? (ie: the bose sounddock ones)

or should I get a new stereo and then an iPod stereo cord?

And please be brand and model specific. I want to know what the best quality systems are because theres so many to choose from.
