alright....Im getting an ipod after months of drooling over them. I put one on lay away and Im going to pay it off with my birthday money (present to myself). I decided to read up on them and Im getting a mixture of about half " I love my ipod so much!!!" and half "I hate my ipod!!!!!" So. What do you guys think of your ipods? how do they compare to other mp3s ..and what problems do you have with them? Any other pros/ cons? Thanks!

I know probably alot of people buy them just cus theyre 'cool' But I am in love with my music and I dont go anywhere without the mp3 player I have now. So the space is definitely a plus. Also Since mine is constantly on, I go through batteries fairly quickly so the rechargable battery also appealed to me.

I don't have one of the fancy new IPods that have video and photo storage... just an old fashioned 20GB. I only put my favourite bands on it - the albums I cannot be without when away from home, so I still have not completely filled it up (and I have LOTS of favourite music).
I would not reccommend getting an iPod if you only have a select few favourite artists and don't envision yourself needing a lot of storage. iPods are expensive, and they're worth it if you need the space, and if you want something that is compatible with just about everything... but if you really don't need all that jazz, a cheaper mp3 would probably do just fine.
Of course, the last paragraph was all opinion and guesswork. I'm not entirely sure how it compares to other MP3 players, because I have never been compelled to check out other ones while shopping. I'm content with my iPod.

I have the brand new iPod Video 80gb Special Edition (Not sold in stores, Dolce & Gabanna Special Edition gold) and it's awesome, never freezes up, more video hours, lots of playback hours, volume is amazing, love the features. You will NOT find any other MP3/MP4 player as good as this because this is the brand (APPLE) that never breaks, I have a Mac Boo Pro 17 inch and it never freezes (unlike Microsoft), definetely worth the money. The video one is the best because you can just view pictures in the Nano, so definetely a waste of money. iPod video is DA BEST! LOL

i like mine .but i have a mini so it sometimes freezes up but i know how to fix it then newest ones are probably better and don't freeze up
if u have any trouble just go to the store and they will help u or give u a new one within the first year

Ipod's are really great.I think when you get your ipod you won't regret it happy listening go ipod.
