Hi Guys,

I am actually in a fix and dont know what to do...

I got a 3 'Three' network monthly contract yesterday from Microline with the intention of using the 3 "three' sim with my old phone and giving the handset to someone as a gift.

When I tried inserting the sim in my old phone...it did not recognise it.

Though the contract says that I am liable to pay 35.00 GBP if I cancel the contract once it is connected but I have been cheated by the sales advisor as I was not told that the 3 'Three' simcard will not work with any other unlocked phone (which I had specifically asked).

I got this contract yesterday evening and when I called the same advisor today...he said I have to pay cancellation charges.

As per the consumer laws, I am legally bound to pay 35.00 GBP cancellation charges even if I have been cheated by the sales advisor?

Is there a website, where I can get more information on this?

I cannot seem to get clear, crisp shots using the 12x Optical Zoom on my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ30. I've tried using a tripod, setting the "film" speed at 80 - and even at mid-day, clear skies etc., the shots are very grainy (noisy). I bought the camera because of this feature and simply cannot figure out how to make it work for me.

Just moved to UK for 2 years - will be returning to US in 2008. Need to buy a TV, wanna get a big LCD. Understand NTSC = US standard and PAL = UK standard, but don't know any more than that. Is there a place on the web where I can get basic info on TV's video standards, signals, etc? Kinda like "Video Standards for Dummies" pr something?

It is a Panasonic RN-402 voice activated. I puchased it in l995, but have used it very little. The left "spindle" won't turn to rewind tape. Thanks.

im trying to call my girlfriend who is at phillipines.......i think she blocked my number..is it possible to block someone's number?? everytime i dial it..it saiz something like...."the call you're attempting to place is not allowed from this line..." aww.. why is that??? i dont understand.....did she block my number???? It was reported in the media here (South Africa) yesterday that a cellphone exploded while someone was talking on it, causing serious burns to the face and upper body. Apparently the battery exploded. It's believed the same thing could happen to laptop batteries. Does this apply to all rechargeable batteries? What precautions should one take to avoid something like this happening?

are the iPods in America and Australia different?? im talking about the new new ones which come in 30GB and 80GB models - - the latest ones

coz on www.apple.com it says the new iPod can play movies, tv shows, music, videos, podcasts, audiobooks and games.

BUT

on www.apple.com.au it says that the new iPod only plays music, videos, podcasts, audiobooks and games.

can it play movies and tv shows too?? [do the movies and tv shows count as videos?] or is it just the american model??

and by any chance, does anyone know if they are already out or when they come out??
