Consumer Electronics - 20 September 2006

Cingular just sent me a notice that my voicemail will be upgraded soon. I am afraid all my messages get lost and I don't want to set up my new mailbox again. I went thru this with T-Mobile 2 years ago and it was very annoying (this is why I switched to Cingular). Is there any way to keep my old messages or convert them into email format before they are lost forever? Why do the cell companies treat us so badly by doing this?

I have cancelled sky digital and moved to freeview, im am currenlty using an internal ariel but iv had an idea that i can change the connection on my sky cable and use my dish as an external ariel. will this work and if so will it get me any extra channels?

My TV is an old Samsung having Red, Yellow and White cable compatibilty. When the telesonic DVD is connected, pictures can not be seen as they jump down at a high speed. What should I do? I used a video converter with an RF output too. Nothing works.

I was looking in to getting a DELL 42" Plasma Screen Because you can easily finance their T.V's. However I have heard alot of bashing of Plasma TV's, and alot of people arguing LCD's are much better. Now the Contrast Ratio for this Dell is 10,000:1 and A resolution of 1024x768. Would I bet better looking elsewhere for a purchase of this amount?
