You can easily upgrade it to 2GB mini SD CARD.
E61 has 75 megabytes of free internal storage memory which can be expanded using miniSD cards. To access the memory card slot one has to remove the back cover which may be considered inconvenient. Fortunately, removing and reattaching the cover is easy and simple (unlike in some other Nokia phones) and it provides good protection to the slot and the card.

The phone can physically accept a 2 GB microSD card, but it's very likely not going to be able to use the whole 2 GB because the phone software was not written to figure it out.

According to the specs on the Nokia website it will only take a 64MB miniSD card

it sure can,but i'll advice u get a 1GB instead to prevent hangovers and stuff,since it's a very new phone...as in software and all,cheers.
