are the iPods in America and Australia different?? im talking about the new new ones which come in 30GB and 80GB models - - the latest ones

coz on www.apple.com it says the new iPod can play movies, tv shows, music, videos, podcasts, audiobooks and games.

BUT

on www.apple.com.au it says that the new iPod only plays music, videos, podcasts, audiobooks and games.

can it play movies and tv shows too?? [do the movies and tv shows count as videos?] or is it just the american model??

and by any chance, does anyone know if they are already out or when they come out??

Yup , they're both exactly idneical. Maybe it was a typo but there both the same ipod! Don't believe me? Go to the tech link on Yahoo home page and find the article yourself. It's there believe me!

I believe an AU Ipod would have the same capabilities, but the AU itunes store does not offer shows or movies at this time. You would half to convert your content on your own.

The ipods are available online, I haven't seen them in the local (US) electronics stores, they still have the previous model ipods.

Haven't heard of any difference from country to country as far as movie playback.

i don't know for sure, but i'd imagine that meant the same thing. it seems like videos, movies and tv shows would all be the same file format to work on your ipod.
