I heard that there is some CB antennas that have larger coils in the base in place of using a long antenna. Is this true? I seen some that come in different colors that are really short with massive coils. Anyone use these? By the way my radio is 12 watts.

Up until now, I had NO cell phone, NO DVD player, NO TiVo, NO iPod, NO CD player...Am I truly old-fashioned and stupid?

I have the cord to connect them just like you would from a digital camera. When I connect them my computer recognizes the phone but it doesn't start any programs to upload it or anything. I looked online and it seems like everything else says you have to download a program or sign up with a website to be able to e-mail them. All I want to do right now is upload my pics to my PC. Help please!

Can a cellphone have a bluetooth capacity of, like, 100m? Or is that range available only with dongles? If so, are there ways to extend the range of the 10-m bluetooth capacity in cell phones, like amplifiers or something?

I'm looking for an el-cheapo (but reasonably reliable) cell phone plan, very preferably one with free incoming calls. I would most likely be making less than 500 minutes' of outgoing calls a month. The ability to receive text messages would be nice but beyond that I really don't need much in the way of functionality (camera phone, MP3 player, etc.). Most of the calls would be daytime too, so free nights/weekends is no biggie for me. (But I'll take it if it's there!)

If it makes any difference, I'm in the Champaign-Urbana area in central Illinois, 217 area code, and that is where most of the calling would occur. So, can anyone recommend a decent cell phone plan with minimal cost?

I am looking to get a PDA/Phone so I can do some work out of the office, and am trying to figure out which device and Service Provider will give me most of the features listed below:

- Word and Excel applications
- The ability to then send those files as a fax once completed, if such as possible
- Can connect internationally
- Downloadable ringtones
- Camera
- Sliding Keypad (not a complete necessity)
- Supports Internet, or can be connected to a computer to act as a Modem(seen this option with Sprint, not sure if others have it)

The big one I am looking for is being able to download ringtones, most devices I have seen don't have the option...

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
