I have to at least buy Microsoft Office I have figured out because I have to have Microsoft Word. I am starting online classes and I have to submit my work in Microsoft Word. Do I need to buy anything other than Microsoft Office?

I got an Ibook G3 (Dual USB) from a friend.It has Mac OS X 10.1.5 installed.
But also Xubuntu Linux.(Dual Boot)
I want to install Mac OS 10.3 and remove Xubuntu.
How can I do that? I see that the Hard Drive has 3-4 partitions.
I inserted Panther CD but don't understand how can I remove all partitions.
You see I have never used Mac before.
All I want to do is delete everything and make a clean install of Mac OS Panther
Can somebody explain to me with simple words what should I do?

the pictures on my screen seem to have taken a giant step forward. things are bigger. when i go to play cards i can't see where you talk cause every thing is bigger. how do i back everything back up? i am no computer whiz...so please make it simple..thanks

im getting a dell laptop and i wanna get an anti virus software just for about 15 months..i'll get a full one then, when i can afford it...

so the 2 options for 15 months are McAfee and Norton...BOTH $79...i've only had Norton, but my dad said he had heard McAfee MIGHT even be better...

which would you reccomend? again, theyre the same price for the same amount of time...soo...yeah. merci :)

For some reason, my desktop icons and tool bar are missing. I have tried restore and that does not work. Short of re-loading windows again, does anyone have any suggestions. I would rather not re-install windows. I do not want to take the chance of loseing the data that I have on the system. (Much less, my favorite places.)

Please help if you can.

I have a mac mini and and i downloaded itunes 7.5
whenever i click on itunes it says i need
to upgrade my computer to 10.4.7
on the apple website i found where to upgrade and lost it
does the download upgrade me to leopard?
it was ten dollars

I´ve checked online and tried a few of those demo recovery programs. I know the photographs are still there somewhere. As I am still in the middle of my travels, I don´t want to pay for the program and don´t want to wait till I return eitehr. Both options cause complications.

I have tried websites that offer free software and the likes, but found nothing - yet. Do you know where I might find something usefull to help me get my great files back?

Well, every time i go on i tunes i click on a song. but if i click it once, i have to click the play button after, and it works. But if i click it twice, this box pops up and it needs a password. I have did my password, but that doesn't work then i change my password. I go back and make that box come up again and i enter the password, doesn't work. So now everytime i click on a song name twice a little box comes up. But i can not get rid of that box. I click on "before he cheats" twice then that box pops up i close it or enter the password, then i click on another song once, then that box pops up again.

Please help i really want to listen to my songs.

Give a good answer.

This has been going on for maybe 2 months now.So i have to be careful not to click on a song 2 times.

Also, if i close down itunes and try and clicka song once, the box pops up. I just want to get rid of that box.

Thinking of getting a new PC with Vista home Premium, can you tell me if I'll have problems installing my printer again from my old PC as software which came with it was only for XP. Lexmark printer.

Can why can you not install Norton 2007 Security on Vista and have to fork out for 360.

I am running out of memory on my laptop and would like to delete some old files. I went through my 'program files' tonight but I have no idea if some of the file are important or not... they have names like:

valueadd, bonjour, directx, earthlink, mircoprose, snapshot viewer...

So, they don't sound important... but I'm scared of deleting them in case my programs don't work anymore...

any advice?

I once screwed something up.

Now whenever i try to play a movie, I will not be able to hear the voices and sounds, all I hear is background music (just like that which you'd hear from the rear surround sound outputs from a surround sound system)

So right now I'm watching ELF and I can see the guy moving his mouth, but no words are coming out yet i do hear some jingly music in the back.
