Software - June 2007

I opened Photoshop 6.0 the other day and to my surprise, the toolbar is gone. I have tried Show/Hide Tools with no success. I am at a loss. Is there anything I can do to find it or need I reinstall/repair?

For Christmas, I got a Dell laptop, with Windows XP Media Edition, but a vocher for a free upgrade to Vista when it was available. In April [approx], I decided, what the hell, may as well try it, and installed Vista. But doing so uninstalled a lot of my programs, including Norten Anti-Virus, my webcam, and WI FI! I dealt with it for awhile, but then I downloaded some things, and I got some ridiculous viruses!! Window;s Defender can't do crap, so at the moment, I'm screwed. I have the reinstall disk for XP, but I want to know if it'll get rid of the Adaware, trojan horses, etc. Please help!!

I'm trying to make a document where I have lines and can type on top of the lines. I tried typing and then underlining the text but it’s not the same. Does anyone know how I can insert lines on word and then type on top of them? Thanks!

If Vista Home Basic doesn't have a word processor, Does Windows Home Premium have one? What advantages are there of premium over basic to justify the higher cost (can I get by ok buying a computer with Home Basic rather than Home Premium?) -Thanks

I have spyware on my computer. I have made numerous attempts to remove it but every spyware removal I look at cost money. If anyone knows of one that is free and knows it works please let me know. Or let me know of the best spyware removal that I would need to purchase. Thanks.

Does anybody know any websites where I can download those light patterns after my computer has gone to sleep???
I`ve seen computers that when they go to sleep they have star patterns coming out toward me and I have also seen one that had a glowing line making squiggles on the screen. I really want those!!!!Thank you! This will really help!!!

I thought I deleted my Internet Explorer, but it turns out I didn't. It's still on my system I just don't know how to access it. The icon isn't showing up anywhere and I can't seem to find it in the folder. I did a search and everything. It's as though I have it, but it's no where to be found! Can anyone help me??

I am trying to make a magnificent animation of 3D cars going for a drift for my little brother, and I went to a website and they had free .3DS car files but they are in .rar form. What do I do with .rar files? Do I compress them or something? If I can compress them or open them up, how do I do it? If there is some application, could somebody let me know what it is? I want to get these 3D Cars out of the .rar form. Can somebody help me?

I have just purchased a new laptop (Tosh A205 S4639). This operates on Vista Ultimate, which I am finding a real pain. All my Microsoft software runs fine, however most of my engineering software has compatibility problems despite asking to run as though XP. I have two hard drives built in(C: 110 GB and D:149GB) is it possible to install XP on my D Drive? Any advise?
