Software - June 2007

HYPOTHETICALLY, I have a special form for my company where I add the name of the companies I'm dealing with to the contract.
The name of the other company is repeated a lot, which can't be changed manually if I wanted to replace it with another one.
What should I do using a Microsoft Word Document to change that name once and let the Word do the work automatically in all the other papers?

I downloaded the new Apple browser for Windows today, and my first impression is "very fast"!!!!

It feels very smooth, but of course, options and controls are in the wrong place (until we get used to them).

So......., what do you think, is it good enough to take major share from Microsoft? Is this the first of a far reaching effort?

If I go to send a email with outlook and stop it before it finishes and accidently deleted it, closed it out. Is there a way I can find the letter I was sending? I tried finding deleted items in outlook and that didn't work. Also how do you get outlook totally out of your system

hi , using microsoft word when i add border and shading (page border) , and when i c print preview ,the lowe horizontal line of the page border i used , never appear in the preview. even when i print ,the lower horizontal line not in the print?
why ?

microsoft is only the biggest company in the universe. it would be STUPID to expect the copy and paste function to work in a way that makes sense. The copy and paste function distorts EVERYTHING and its basiclly impossible to get the sheet looking like how you originally had it. so how can i import a spreedsheet into an existing workbook without messing everything up?

I bought a laptop with Vista Buisness, and I researched buisness seeing it doesn't come with Media Center, Windows Movie Maker, or Windows DVD Maker. Is that bad? I'll be using this laptop for college in the fall. I don't know the differences between business or home, please help!!!

I always go and film my fiance when he rides and now we want to make a demo DVD but Windows movie maker sucks, I also have the tony hawk program (that came with the helmet cams) but it wont let me burn to disk. is there a better program. oh yeah i have a pc not a mac

computer crased when it rebooted it said ntldr missing press any key to continue well i pressed any key same thing pops up again, all my cds for this computer dont work not even the recovery cd so i had to format the hard drive put windows 98 on it my xp cd dont work when i wont to upgrade it when it comes to the key in the product key part and i press a key it freezes and restarts computer well i thought it was my cd but it done the same thing with my sound blaster cd when it came to write my name in and i pressed a key it froze and restarted someone please help me here please ok like I said the hard drive is already formated the cd doesnt work and its a copy of the oringle cd for it was lost this is all i have so, and I have went to that computer hope site also no help there either so anymore opinions here ok its not just when i want to download something from a cd it even on the computer like I went to start, run, and tried to type in there it froze there to and restarted

I'm trying to run a System Sentinel anti-spyware scan but I keep getting this error. (And I think the tech support guy has gone home). I've already downloaded dao360.dll but Run won't open regsvr32C because there's no program attached. Does anybody out there even know what I'm talking about? I sure don't...I'm so out of my league...
And please don't tell me just to use Spybot---it never found anything.

yea i sorta knew they were illegal but...i've gotten an email saying they mite close my comcast account 4 downloading movies. i left the download "seeding" which i never did before and now my dad said they mite sue us. wut r the chances that they will actually sue me? or is this just a warning? plz help :) thank you

Should I have a firewall active when using Limewire? I'm not that familiar with computers. Is a firewall like Mcafee which blocks viruses? If I need one, how do I go about getting one? Please don't tell me not to use Limewire cause I don't need to try any others sites cause so far I'm very happy with LW.
