is there a program that can let you download videos that are in Flash, like the ones in youtube?

Someone told me that i can downlaod videos from youtube using Greasemonkey. Forgot the name but it was similiar to that one. if there are any other program availabkle thats free, please kindly post them.

You can always copy and paste the url of the page with the video embedded in it into http://keepvid.com or http://vixy.net . Or, if you use Firefox you can also search http://addons.mozilla.org for extensions such as Video Downloader or Download Helper.

You can use http://vixy.net to download to another file format, but otherwise the file you download will be in Flash Video format. In this case, rename the file to make sure it ends in .FLV (don't forget the dot). And then you'll need a player. I've used both of these:
