I study Fashion Design for 3 years, and Im hosting in a few months my first runway show. I have all my designs ready on paper but I want to step up and do it on the computer just to make them more presentable and modern. I need a software were I can fully re-design my sketches...Thax Ill apreciated all the help I can get from you guys.

OK, I'm officially fed up with malicious corporate interference in my OS. I am just an end-user who only wants to be able to use my computer, not devote my life to removing scumware and maintaining a stable machine. I understand that I must learn coding to really understand this stuff, and will learn C when I get the time. Until then, though, I was planning on switching my 1.5 celeron gateway notebook over to a Linux-based OS. However, in searching for one, I found a multitude of different "flavors" of linux. Does anyone out there have any advice on which is the most stable? Most user-friendly? Do I need to purchase a specifically Linux-compatible machine for this? I'm fed up, I tell ya. I'm about ready to designate my notebook as a placemat and go back to using a typewriter (I'm a writer). The internet has become more headache than it's worth. But I know it doesn't have to be this way. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I am currently running Windows Media Center, on a rather high end PC. I am thinking of upgrading to Vista Ultimate. My pc can run it. I am perfectly happy with MCE, but I'm a pc guy, so of course I gotta have the new Vista everyone's talkin about...hehe;-)

Well, you know with like the other OS's, you have the option, when you are installing, to "upgrade"? I don't want to reformat it, I just want to have all the features of Vista, but not have to reinstall all my programs, and re-do everything. Does Vista Ultimate have this option?

i have made a few movies on my computer with an editing program.

i have tried so many times to put my movies onto a dvd it says to insert a cd-r but when i put in a cd-r it says to put in a dvd-r.

does anyone know how to do this?

If I install XP and change my mind later can I use the recovery discs I got with the computer to get my origional system back! It came with Vista but I don't like it, but i am scared if I install XP I will never be able to get my origional system back! I want XP now but I want Vista back when they come out with SP1!
