I believe that error is a DirectX, dealing with your video card not supporting the game. I've encountered this with that game, along with Medal of Honor 2, etc...
to fix it you would need a new video card (supporting Direct X 10, i believe.)

is your cd game there is are folder contains directx... if there is, just installed directx from that folder... i think it will work.. or you just try download the from windows directx... hope that will help...
