NO! its full of bugs and to be honest most of the hard ware in your computer most likely will not be compatible with it plus it takes 1gig of ram and a good 256MB graphics card just to run the operating system... if you are going to buy it wait for a few years at least until all the bugs are fixed

if you just want to turn on your pc and go, don't get it yet.
for some of your older programs you will need to download new drivers "if" they have them for vista. this can take some time updating all your older programs.
microsoft.com has a vista advisor program you can download that will tell you if your pc software and hardware are vista ready, and let you know what will need to be done before upgrading to vista.

It is definitely better then XP, but at this point I have yet to buy it and probably will not for at least another 10 months or so. There are still a lot of programs that are not compatible so until the programs are updated I have found it useless to upgrade.

no, VISTA is not good, stick to XP, most of the world is using this and will stick to it. VISTA is weak in that it only lets you reprogram it once. VISTA will NOT be taking over computers, trust me, stick with XP

yes you should because it has really cool things in it.its very enjoyable to use it because there are different games and they are in 3d.even PAINT is different.when you minimize it,when you put your mouse over it youll see whats in it.you can put stuff outside/like its not shortcuts but COOLERER than that.and other stuff you should find out!!!!!!!!

the only thing is that it MIGHT use up battery if you open too much things or its just really nice so it uses up power.

maybe the battery thing depends on the computer/laptop...
